OBD Quickscan
What is OBD Quickscan?

OBD Quickscan is a service provided by Auto Pre-Purchase Inspections, and is specifically intended to give car owners an in-depth report from the electronic control modules in their vehicle.
Is OBD Quickscan available for all versions of OBD?

Yes, in fact OBD Quickscan works on all versions of OBD, and derivatives of earlier diagnostics such as GM's Assembly Line Diagnostic Link - ALDL. We access OBD-I and OBD-II systems to provide an OEM Manufacturer-level of diagnostic information to you.

Can I use this OBD Quickscan report to let my repair shop know what is wrong with my car?

Yes, you can certainly take the report and request that your repair shop look at any specific problems, or DTCs, that have been discovered in the electronic control systems in your car.

For what else is OBD Quickscan useful?

Any trouble codes discovered in the electronic control systems in your car can be quickly researched so that you have information about the cost of repairing the issues. This is particularly useful if you feel concerned that the price being quoted to you for the repair may be excessive. For example, let's presume that you have a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas and our OBD Quickscan indicates a P0645 DTC, this is a A/C Compressor failure, and a fair price to repair this is typically around $1,100 to $1,500.

I have a Check Engine light on in my car, can results of OBD Quickscan tell me what is wrong?

Absolutely, and depending on the version of your OBD, it can narrow down the fault in the vehicle.
